  Urad Dal with Paneer The best part of urad dal with paneer is that it is made with everyday ingredients, yet turns out to be a gourmet delight! Ingredients 3/4 cup urad dal 1/2 cup  small paneer (cottage cheese)  cubes 1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi) salt to taste 1 tbsp oil 1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera) 1/2 cup f inely chopped onions 1/2 cup finely chopped tomatoes 1 tsp finely chopped green chillies 1/2 tsp chilli powder 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania) METHOD Soak the urad dal in enough water in a deep bowl for 1 hour and drain well. Combine the urad dal, ¼ tsp turmeric powder, salt and 1¼ cups of water in a pressure cooker, mix well and pressure cook for 1 whistle. Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.
